This is a year for artistic collaborations at the Fringe [..]Now comes "Meter, Beat and Feet", in which the River Cow Orchestra (a jazz ensemble specializing in improvisation) and the Kacico Dance Company create on-the-spot performances to poetry read out loud by their creators. It is always interesting to see what sort of physical theatre productions come in each year with Fringe. The Chicago-based Imaginez has brought Take Flight for us this year, a story about pursuing your dreams and the changes one sometimes has to make to do so. The story stars three clowns: Kiki, Fink, and Bumbles, as they attempt to take flight in pursuit of their dreams.[read more]
