   Great actors are in this production! But wow, another disjointed plot production from the Home Grown Theatre Co. (Geography….was the other) Plus, the main prop (a fake grand piano) looked like it was going to collapse throughout the performance. Yikes! It would be great to see the talent in this cast tackle a better written play. Go for the acting…….but drink some coffee before to stay awake during the storyline.

   Fantastic acting! These 4 actors move seamlessly from character to character. But, the 3 stories don’t connect, yet they should according to the synopsis. I recommend this for the quality of the talent, but good luck understanding the story connections. Also, the outer leg of the grand piano prop was ready to collapse, and that was disconcerting, to say the least.

   What a smart and sweet play performed by 4 effortlessly talented actors. unique and moving that should not be missed. I do agree though they should fix that piano.

   Loved the play. The actors were amazing and engaging. “The Brain is a story teller, and it is very good at it.”, but what happens when the brain mixes up the stories, gets off track, or gets stuck in a loop.
   It would have helped if there was a timeline queue (clothing, a newspaper, TV Ad, something) for each scene, as the time jumped frequently from 1955 – 1961 to a more current time. The most difficult time lines to track & separate were (Margaret, Martha, Evelyn). That part of the presentation could use some polish and clarity. I would love to see this play again in the next step.
   In our show Henry played the piano, but this is the Fringe..

   Complex, beautifully acted show. To me, this is the best of both worlds. You need to pay attention to the show as a whole to understand how the scenes fit together, but no individual scene is in any way obtuse or incomprehensible; in fact, at the micro/scene level, you have compelling drama with bits of humor, while at the macro/show level, you have a challenging (but not unsolvable) puzzle.    I rate this show a nine out of ten. Terrific acting and wonderful story. There are four cast members that play 21 characters. It is different stories woven together, but all have aspects of some degree of mental illness. It is actually more uplifting and not a sad play. Hersh Ellis, the playwright, was a genius on this one!

   Funny. Heartfelt. Sophisticated. Though Provoking, Takes about 15 minutes to catch on, but once you do it takes you on one hell of a ride. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss this one.

   Here’s the deal, the acting was phenomenal. You don’t go to a fringe show expecting to see that kind of acting.

   The story was confusing, the way they connected wasn’t the best. I think the writer could’ve done so much more, and probably should’ve reworked some of the scenes.

   All in all, it was a good show with reworking it definitely has some great potential, it just didn’t get there tonight.

    Three stories intertwined with a loose theme about personal identity. Not a lite play and will require your full attention. The scene changes were crisp and well executed using both sound and lighting. At times it was difficult to discern the scenes at first, but overall the actors did a fantastic job playing multiple characters each (four people, twenty one characters). The different timelines reminds me a bit of the movie Memento and much like watching Memento for the first time I’ll need to re-watch for full understanding.

    This play leaves you thinking for days and wanting to see it again and again. The actors did an unbelievable job carrying off a difficult dialogue for multiple characters each with different dialects. What talent in the acting and directing. A must see!
