The people in the row behind me were laughing hysterically, but I could not tell why. The show began with a stand-up comedian who seemed to be mumbling a lot of his lines. The long-form improv tended to drag on too long and did not make sufficient use of audience suggestions. The final bit was funny, as long as you like R-rated material.
I had the same experience as the review ahead of me by Stu. The initial comedian was funny for the parts I could decipher, then the improv was…. Was it really improv? They asked for a couple of audience suggestions, then did nothing with them. And what they did do wasn’t that good.
I noticed they have a large cast and they sat in the audience, dispersed, laughing and clapping loudly – to suggest more enjoyment than was actually happening. Sorry, not sorry – not my favorite show.
