Description:
Nancy Marcy portrays a woman who lives a simple life with her memories and pets. Her days are challenged by a physical handicap, but her caring nature and sense of belonging to the world around her is unaffected. When she discovers a homeless woman (portrayed by Christie Courville) in her backyard, she realizes that no matter how alone one might feel in today's complex social structure...there is an inevitable connection to humanity that must not be denied. Nancy's interview concludes the film.

Nancy Marcy and Christie Courville give fabulous performances without saying a word. After the short film, Nancy Marcy gives an interview about her experience as an actor and how she got started in this profession.
Under Denny Dey’s direction, Nancy and Christie’s visual storytelling chops are effectively highlighted as they convey this slice of life with minimalist dialogue. Following the narrative fiction is Denny’s interview with Nancy honoring her years of experience in theater and film. At one point she gives credit to her ability to portray her fictional character by playing off Christie’s ability to emote solely with her eyes. Having worked with Christie on other projects, I know this to be an accurate statement. This film is both a narrative and a mini documentary that will be of particular interest to those wanting a look at the actor’s craft through the eyes of a seasoned professional.
