Description:

Two award-winning, clown-trained comedians, Chase Brantley and Nicholas Hemerling, invite you to a riotous evening of fruit-based stupidity. Get ready for a "banana"-za of idoicy as they deliver a charming yet utterly meaningless spectacle of smooching, pelvic thrusting, flexed muscles, oranges, pineapples, and audience trickery. If you want something intelligent, we will… try our best. Whatever your preference, though, expect to find love. WARNING: Surprisingly Sexy

I wasn’t sure what to expect even after reading about the show in the book. Chase & Nicholas will have you laughing throughout the entire show. Oh and it is audience participation thru out so no matter where you sit, you ain’t safe. Great laughs and great fun! I’ll see them again if they return. Highly recommend seeing this show!

Fruit Salad is #1, Class A Fringe! I understood what was happening during the show and still left confused. I was involved but not fully included. I laughed at and with the production. Wow, what a fantastic experience! Thank you to Chase & Nicholas… I am not sure what I was looking for but I found it in Fruit Salad!

Easily the strangest thing that I’ve seen on stage in a decade, and that’s 1) saying something, and 2) high praise. If it ran every month here in KC, I’d be at every show. Audience participation encouraged, but don’t be intimidated! Just show up and expect the unexpected. Knock ’em dead in Edinburgh, boys!

From this show, I gained a greater appreciation for the versatility of a cape.

I have no idea what I watched….but I laughed the whole time. Very fringe and a ton of fun. You must see this show! Highly recommend and warning there is audience participation, but the good kind.

Amazing joy, weirdness, vulnerability, and PRESENCE with the audience. These artists are top-notch. Tightly timed and rehearsed, and loosely open to what is in front of them. I was only sad that every seat wasn’t filled. Don’t miss this one!

This was the silliest show I’ve ever seen, and I don’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. This is some of the best physical comedy I have ever seen, obviously practiced and rehearsed, but they are obviously pros at improv because the “script” changed with audience reactions and interactions. Show up a few minutes early to buy a cheap drink.

This show is out there in a good way.
Physical comedy at it’s best and genius audience interaction.
Laughed so hard I almost peed my pants 🙂

After the show was over, lady in front of me smiled and said, “This has got to be the strangest show I’ve ever seen.”

I’ve had the fortune to meet several Fringe first timers, this and every year, including one happy lady when entering this show (and regularly hearing her laughter behind me).

This is what Fringe is all about. Meeting people out for an adventure, and seeing stuff you won’t see anywhere else. Just a few more chances to catch these travelling Fringe pros before they take their show in a few weeks to Edinburg (the world’s largest arts fest by far).

A few things you may never be able to see the same again: rocket launches, banana phones, Westerns, …, and, of course, fruit.

This show is what it’d be like if you could see Jack Black perform live. Be prepared to join in the action (these guys aren’t shy –if their costumes didn’t already give that hint). Be prepared to give your cheek muscles an exercise in smiles and laughter.

Easily the best show I’ve seen so far. This is peak fringe. I want to go again.

I LOVE FRUIT SALAD!!!!! It was so hilarious and stupid and wonderful and I have no idea what I watched but I’m coming back to watch it again! These guys know how to make you laugh more than you ever have – even before they start speaking!! There is an element of improv due to the audience participation, so each show will be different. If I didn’t need to have a job I’d just be a fruit groupie and go to every show of theirs!

This is a must see show. It is hilarious, totally engaging and these two guys are so tight yet fluid with the audience and each other. One more shot at this performance tonight. You will laugh throughout

Sometimes controversial, but it’s Unique and Fantastic ! I especially liked the audience participation part ✨Go SEE it ! We DID ! So can YOU 🤩

These guys aren’t afraid to get weird! But weird is cool, and funny. There is audience participation as well. And fruit 🙂
