Description:
We all adorn an intricate mask, but some decay as does the narrator's. In this piece she spins words into a story of a life of suffering. Dreams of a world beyond our chains which bind us to the dystopia we live in. We all hope for a better world than the one we inhabit. Through this story we learn about the life of the narrator through broken poems and emotional ranting. This is the tale of The Masked Madwoman.

As Sylvia Jeffress changes masks several times through this show, she shows us a raw look inside her mind and life. Could any of us be that brave?
Anyone who has ever experienced suffering, being judged, yearning, searching, therapy, internal wrestling, … you can appreciate how she poetically weaves from childhood to a stage few could handle.
This is raw, and I respect anyone who’s walked that path and who can share it as she has.
