Title: The Scream of War
Location:
Medium: painting/oil pastel
"The Scream of War" does not just represent fear during and after war itself. As Evard Munch's painting "The Scream" represented his anxiety and mental illness, "The Scream of War" represents the anxiety and trauma of today's world. This past year we acknowledged the 20th anniversary of the Iraq war and the war in Ukraine began with the invasion by Russia. This only after surviving through a global pandemic, uncertain financial times and mental health is experienced by 1 in 4 people.
