Rachelle Gardner’s large drawings depict organic environments not quite of this world. Funded by an Inspiration Grant from the KCArts Fund of The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, the artist is currently translating these drawn environments into large scale sculptural installations. A garden of works such as ”Petalo” shown here will be showcased in the Urban Culture Project’s Jenkins site (1217 Walnut) from the third Friday in September through October. An accompanying exhibit at the KC Artists Coalition will run through September.
