The Princess Bride is back after a sold-out workshop at the Westport Coffee House last summer. As a reluctant little girl settles into bed to hear her grandfather read his favorite book to her, the story of Wesley, Buttercup and Inigo Montoya comes to life in her bedroom. Bed sheets become oceans, toy chests become castle walls, and a cast of nine transforms into the entire kingdom of Florin. The play was created through a collaborative writing-on- your-feet process by Hersh Ellis and the nine original cast members, many of whom are returning for this year’s production.
