   Mechele Leon has crafted a phenomenal piece about an often overlooked organ. Combining many types of storytelling, Leon masterfully describes her experience with bladder cancer and the life after. I vow to appreciate my bladder even more!

   This is a very good one-woman show in which Michele Leon tells about her own difficult experience with cancer. She keeps it light with a variety of props and videos and sound effects, and a cute puppet routine to end the show. Very informative and moving; she is a courageous and inspiring lady.

   I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Mechele Leon is very talented and clearly put a lot of thought, time and work into telling her story so that the audience could laugh and learn at the same time.

   An honest, intelligent, thoughtful, funny, provoking show by Mechele Leon, a survivor and an entertaining storyteller. She blends fact with feeling, and challenges the viewer to really listen to her journey through one of the most frightening of life’s possibilities.

   Michele’s willingness to share her personal rollercoaster ride with such creativity and raw honesty is touching, enlightening and inspiring. Through her storytelling, she has given a face to the many emotions experienced when one is given a cancer diagnosis and she is laying the groundwork for acceptance and normalcy for ostomates across the globe.    Mechele Leon’s Bladder Interrupted is a funny, honest story about her bladder cancer experience. She made me laugh, cry and learn. Nothing means more than hearing from someone who has “been there, done that,” and I hope anyone who has been touched by bladder cancer — or any type of cancer — will come see this wonderful show.

   Mechele Leon’s show is educational and humorous. Through props, graphics, costume changes, stage movement, sound system and more, she keeps you interested while telling her brave story . It makes one appreciate their good health and challenges us all to be more aware of our bodies!

   Mechele’s show made me laugh out loud one minute and cry the next. Honest, funny, smart. Music, puppets, multiple characters and a bit of medical learning to boot. This is a show you don’t want to miss.

    I REALLY enjoyed this show. It was very educational and creative. The way she shared the reality of the physical/emotional/spiritual considerations of her diagnosis was presented well. Even my Goddaugthers(ages 8 and 11) walked away with new insight on bladder cancer. Thank you for sharing your story! I’d highly recommend this performance to anyone.

    This was an excellent show. I heartily agree with her taking issue with war terms. To take a personal experience with a devastating disease and turn it into a dramatic, comical, emotional, and educational presentation takes courage and skill. Brava!
