Story of dealing with the suicide of his mother and how he grew up under it’s shadow. An honest look into how we internalize and deal with our issues. Some of the humor in the beginning fell a bit flat, but he hit rhythm in the second half where the power of his story shines through.

This play is storytelling about the actor’s real experience with recovering from his mother’s suicide. I had a cousin that killed himself and his parents, 30+ years later, died still blaming themselves. The play is about how a suicide affects loved ones more than it is about suicide itself. Very powerful story with a few songs by a “supporting actor” that sang the songs. Not sure which one was the saddest part, the story or the music that was also very sad sounding. The show was performed very well. I just wish that there were more performances for more people to get to see this, but I just saw it on its last night of this year’s Fringe.
