This was a lot of fun. Great script, great performances. Nicole Hall and Matt McCann in particular were hilarious. Switches back and forth between silly, funny and dark. I really enjoyed this show. Highly recommend. Great job everyone. Absolutely loved the haunted house bit.

Fantastic show! Well written and superbly acted. The comedic timing of the two hosts was impeccable, and the witty, sometimes funny sometimes poignant scenes were always engaging.

In previous Fringe Festivals, Derek Trautwein has shown his penchant for solid drama. This year, he has turned his attention to comedy in “The Spooky Shit Show” and it’s a winner! Five skits with macabre themes and hosted by a giddy couple played by Nicole Hall and Matt McCann.

My favorite skit was the first one with two creepy hayseeds and their beef jerky. It will make you laugh and possibly puke at the same time!

My favorite horror comes with a fair share of humor, and this show brings both. If you also like laughs with your scares, this show is for you!

Fantastic show! It’s the right amount of spooky interspersed with great comedy and at times just unnerving enough to make you think. I especially enjoyed the ventriloquism scene. Well done to all involved!

Absolutely loved this show! Derek once again hits it out of the park as both a playwright and a director. I loved the format of the anthology presented to us. The actors were hilarious, grounded, and at times pulled on your heartstrings. I would go see this every night of their run if I could. It’s that much fun to experience.

Also…I want The Spooky Sh*t Show coffee mug. You selling merch? Because I would buy that sh*t!

Several short spooky plays with excellent actors. There are stories about witches, cannibals, a haunted attraction, a haunted ventriloquist dummy, and a zombie. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs

Hilarious, spooky, and short – this collection of horrific vignettes was a delight for this horror fan. Think Tales From the Crypt plus even more humor… Highlights include charming brothers with a secret, Spencer Thompson and Bryson Kenworthy; and the hilarious duo of hosts that lead us through the all the spooky sh*t, Nicole Hall and Matt McCann.

This show might have been full of spooky shit, but it was also full of joy. The performances were fantastic, with the hosts having especially great timing. There was the right combination of gut-churning horror tropes (zombies, cannibalism, and witchcraft), campy humor that winks at itself, but never for too long, a dash of poignancy snuck in at the end. Spooky shit is good shit.

Very fun writing and I appreciate the 4th wall break meta aspect of any show.

Very funny and fun. Definitely worth seeing

Whitty, funny, dark, light hearted. Derek absolutely wrote a hilarious, classic piece everyone can relate to.
