A One-Woman Titanic Parody in 59 Minutes or Less - Bikini Katie Productions
Reviewed By Gregory and Karen Harris
Prepare to be immersed in action and audience participation as Katie Thayer plunges you into this one-woman parody of the movie “Titanic”. Of course, the setting is in the nineteen-teens with occasional, anachronistic leaps to the reality of 1997 movie making and modern-day fact checking. (Who knew that Jack could only have visited Lake Wissota five years posthumously!?)
As you depart, this show moves full steam ahead and is brought to life with hilarious props, witty commentary, and some of the best tonette music in the Midwest. With that said, I encourage you to show up and sit on the front two rows to feel the splash of the waves and see iceberg chunks firsthand. After 59 minutes, you’ll be shocked that this tongue-in-cheek, humorous performance is over, leaving you in a good mood and maybe reevaluating how you feel now versus the first time you watched the movie.
