Ruby Beach

Ruby Beach
Ruby Beach is the northernmost of the southern beaches in the coastal section of Olympic National Park on the Western face of Mount Olympus. The area is a Temperate Rain Forest, usually shrouded in fog and mist year round. Pacific storms pummel the forest of the island. The trees fall into the ocean and are ground up by the surf. The wood returns to the island’s beaches in large pieces of drift wood. This picture was taken at straight up noon on the beach.
