K.E. Griffin is a talented storyteller who will make you laugh, she will make you cry, and you might even learn something along the way. She knocks it out of the park in this program, but I would expect nothing less. If you get the chance to see her perform, do it. You won’t be sorry.
Thank you Lady Jessica aka Alice Paul for attending. Gracing the stage with you and watching you perform inspired me to take a leap of FAITH to produce and director my first solo this year. Red Roses and Round of applause to you and your performances.
Be Well,
J to the A to the Double Z, w/love.
A wonderful show. The artist is completely captivating and has put together this audience-pleasing show most cleverly. She’s a joy to watch.
Karen, you indeed preached up and took folk back to the “Woodshed”. This is indeed, a Jazz 101 history class. Very engaging, edu-tainment, energetic as well stressing the point of, never pre-judging folks. Instead of raising people up. You never know that one individual you putting down could be that next (Jazz) prodigy, genius.
Much Love to ya Karen!
Thank you Bro John,

I’ll see you in Twenty24
I first met Karen at the Kansas City Jazz Museum bringing jazz greats to life and was excited to attend her KC Fringe program. Her show J to the A to the Double ZZ brings her knowledge of these jazz musicians and their back stories to life while involving the audience. I gained an appreciation of these musicians and love the steps she has taken to interview jazz great family members. Her stories, costumes and sets help the audience picture these wonderful people.
Thank you Sir Gary and Linda, I love it when I can see your smiles and be in your presents. Thank you for your feedback and attending J to the A to the Double Z. I researched far and low to make sure I provided historical information to inspire people to exploring and discovering the history of JAZZ.
Enjoy the rest of your summer time and good stories

I absolutely loved this show! Jazzy K is a marvelous storyteller and performing. I laughed and I learned which are staples of great Theatre. She only had a minute to promote her show in some spaces but I’m so glad I got to spend an hour in her presence. She’s the truth!

Ladies and Gentlemen, please take note – Karen E. Griffin delivers one of the most satisfying performances I’ve witnessed. Using audience members on stage and throughout the performance to personify four of the greatest Jazz legends of the 20th century, it’s quite hard to determine where scripted theater ends, improve begins and where we will journey next. Unique, hilarious, educational and deeply moving- when CP’s mama wails, you will feel it to your bones. With talent and stage presence overflowing MS. Griffin’s production should take her far, but I hope she will always find her way back home to Kansas City. thank You!
Dear Mr. Smith,

I love Kansas City, it will always be home and forever part of my heARTbeat.
Thank you, Mr. Smith for supporting a local artist.
Be Well,
Jazzy K
