A mysterious man on a highway at night, driving a muscle car, and ending up at a seedy motel. The man’s intentions and motivations are not completely clear, and he may not be all that appears on the surface. Most of Avalon was shot with a one-camera setup and a large portion of the film was photographed in the Kansas City area. The cinematography and mood hearkens to some of Jason Turner’s favorite filmmakers, including Ridley Scott, David Lynch, and David Fincher.
