John and Leslie Are in the Copy Room Again
Mike Rice
Show Information:
At Ellsworth Communications, John, a middle-aged copy writer, and Leslie, a new secretary, are always hoping to bump into each other whenever they have to print off a memo, grab a new pen, or copy and scan some specs in the office copy room.
When they do, work takes a backseat as they share the highlights of their weekends, gab about their grown children, struggle to learn the new Canon copier, cry about an ailing pet, and commiserate about job security in the aftermath of The Great Recession.
So when their suspicious and manipulative co-worker Ellen leads them to believe that one of them could be downsized again, it triggers a wild chain of events. Will their friendship end? Or will they risk everything for a moment of glory?
Pete Bakely, Kelly Main and Elizabeth Hillman star in this “dramedy,” directed by KC Fringe favorite Bryan Moses and written by former Kansas City Star reporter Mike Rice. Laugh. Cry. Maybe do both. And be prepared to rethink the notion that romance is exclusive to the young and physically beautiful.
