Show Information:
An unstoppable force meets an immovable object as a drinking group with a running problem comes to KCMO to tell but show. This modern retelling of King Midas and the golden touch zooms from the Buffalo Room, shuttles to the Nelson-Atkins and back, winds around a fountain of truth, and comes back again. I’m not entirely sure what I watched, but I think I like it. Eight energetic actors running (so much running) about the room in tutus spouting limericks as a part of some drinking, running pub crawl sites in Kansas City. Oh, and there was a distinct chicken pun theme along with regularly timed bell ringing. If you’re looking for a high-energy show off the beaten path, this one will not disappoint.
