Laura Packer’s stories made me feel rejuvenated, inspired, and I had fun. I loved going on an adventure with Crazy Jane and Red Haired Annie and remembering all the things I know are true. I really connected with her characters and their struggles, feats, and hearts. Laura is talented at her art and skilled at her craft.
Excellent performance by a master storyteller
Laura weaves enchanting tales that draw you in and make you wish you were having adventures along side her characters, Crazy Jane and Red-haired Annie. It has been years since I listened to such a good story teller, and I remember how much I love listening to someone whose words can bring imagination to life. Not only does she entertain but also hints at the keys to human nature that only a good story can contain. Go listen to this wonderful story-teller.
This is a fun show by an entrancing storyteller who paints great pictures with words; it’s an hour of highly entertaining and imaginative entertainment.
Laura Packer grabs her audience from the start and never lets go. So glad I to hear her weave her tales of Crazy Jane and Red Haired Annie! An unforgettable hour of entertainment by a master storyteller.
So glad I got to see this performance. So much depth to the characters Red Haired Annie and Crazy Jane, and Laura embodies these powerful stories seamlessly. Laura is a talented storyteller!
So refreshing to always witness Laura work her storytelling craft. Crazy Jane & Red Haired Annie remind me of a fairy tale adventurous, “Thelma and Louise”. A must see show from a master storyteller!
What is normal? What is crazy? What is plain? What is wild? Laura takes you on a journey of friendship and love — we all need that right now!
Laura Packer is a master story-teller, who entrances audiences not only with her voice but with well-timed gestures. I enjoyed her show last year, and this new program is at least equally as good. Unlike last year, when she told several separate tales, this year she told a number of connected tales about a couple of friends who go through a series of adventures. Story-telling (as opposed to monologues) is an art that is generally underappreciated but is being kept alive by people such as Ms. Packer, who will not let it die out. What is amazing is the way in which she brings faeries and other supernatural creatures into stories intended for adults, and the audience totally buys into it. I was totally immersed in the narrative from the very beginning, and my mind never wandered. She saved the best for last, with a conclusion that totally blew me away. I hope she comes back next year–she’ll be at the top of my list.
