In hip hop and street style dance forms, a cypher is where dancers gather around to participate in dance. Spectators are welcome to join the circle to enjoy the movement, celebrate the culture and create comraderie. While this is not a true cypher, the hope is that you, the viewer, gather around your screen and enjoy the movement and high energy from the dancers. This collection of pieces from choreographer Maya Tillman-Rayton has been recorded on stage prior to and during the pandemic. All pieces are hip hop and street style choreography and features dancers from Lawrence and Kansas City.
