Description:
This Hip-Hop Musical is about a dreamer. When facing a “now or never” scenario, a line is drawn. In a desperate plan to revive his dream deferred, he makes an unthinkable wager with himself. Will he make the ultimate sacrifice for his dream? Come experience the aspirations and fears of one artist’s fight against the hands of time; expressed in original songs and storytelling. Witness his last 40 minutes alone before delivering the greatest and possibly final performance in his 40 year lifetime!

Great show. Interactive. Fun. Funny. Brilliant blend of music and storytelling. Paul Jones holds no punches and opens up on stage. Very well done. There is no way everyone doesn’t have a great time at this show.
Excellent. He is a great story teller. The show is filled with humor and shows us all the importance of being our best self. Make some time to see this. You won’t be disappointed.

Donald Paul Jones you Absolutely NAILED IT – I loved the show so much I plan to go again with friends. It was emotional, humerus, inspiring and all out entertaining. Looking forward to seeing it again!!!
DPJ delivers a passionate and emotional tale of his journey. Doesn’t hold back any of the highs or LOWS.
HOWEVER, his band interferred with his delivery. Way too loud!!
This cannot be solved by DPJ increasing his volume but the chocolatiers needed to “soften” up please
Donald Paul Jones was great! It was hip-hop with truth, heart, and openness. I was moved in a way that was unexpected and touching. Great work. The band added that finishing touch.
Many of us have reached a point in our lives where we we are reflective of the decisions of our past while we plot what this second act will be. Don Paul takes us on this introspective journey with him as he makes such considerations. The show is funny, poignant, raw, and honest. Although rap is not my preferred genre of music, the undeniable lyricism and musicality has me thinking I might be a fan after all. Art should inspired. I left feeling the urge to consider how to better use my own gifts as I move through life. Please see it. You won’t be disappointed. Even the occasional misstep is expertly incorporated adding to the genius of the show.

This show was very introspective, thoughtful, funny and passionate. The music was great and the production with the live band it was on point. I laughed, teared up a little bit and enjoyed the ride. Well done Donald!

Amazing show! It is a must see! I went through every emotion. I laughed I smiled I was sad and I held tears back in my own eyes. He is a very talented man and knows what he is doing. He was rapping,singing,dancing and keep the audience engaged the whole time!
I had the pleasure of seeing this wonderfully produced work of art by Paul Jones. This showing took one through emotions, real life descriptors, and presented in a way that sets your mind on fire! Not knowing what to expect, I was blown away by the creativity in story-telling that 40.4.40 brought. What a great addition to The Fringe this year.
This show was beyond amazing this brotha put on a performance so powerful I don’t think words can truly explain the magnitude of the experience Paul Jones is definitely about to be the next big thing.
Donald Paul Jones gives you all of his various dimensions in this show. His Versatility as a creative shows his expansive depth. You can tell this is act of love and vulnerability. But it’s the legacy for me.

Donald Paul gives you all of him in his masterful play & with that you also see yourself. The vulnerability of his amazing performance hits every emotion. You root for him throughout the play and when you leave you end up also rooting for yourself. I laughed, did a two step, shed at tear all in one sitting. He is truly a work of art that is SEEN in his performance and should not be missed! Simply Phenomenal.
So, I caught the BEST OF FRINGE Show on 7/31 with some of my cast and we were completely blown away by this performance! It was an emotional ride and an honest review of never giving up on your dreams nor taking for granted the talent that God has put inside of you! In addition, The” Chocolatiers” were whimsical, the technical lighting transitions were on point and the rhymes were dope. DBJ surely gave a performance of a lifetime ; and although the protagonist questions his existentialist purpose, I believe without a shadow of a doubt that he should continue to pursue his dreams and create his own happiness through his art like he was born to do!!!
