This show is the perfect example of genre theatre. They perfectly tackled the mood and setting for a farcical comedy and it was a joyous experience for the audience. The performances were all very memorable, especially those put forth by Bethany Elliot and Casey Jane. The show sometimes goes pretty far with their comedic choices but they are always on purpose and never jump the shark. If you are looking to just escape for an hour and have yourself a laugh–this is a great show to see.

This show gives full production value on a Fringe budget. An over the top farce that makes you pray the actors have medical insurance (or a killer high jump) as they play at break neck speeds that leaves even the audience sweating. This is should be the cherry topper of your fringe experience.

Warehouse Ensemble nails slapstick and farce once again! Absolutely hilarious script performed delightfully by a charismatic cast. I absolutely lost it at “OOT of NOOwhEER” and it only got better from there! Tons of fun, thank you for the laughs!!!

Wow! What a show! When first entering the theatre, you will see a beautifully fabulous set and will forget that you are here to see a Fringe production. I had high expectations after seeing that set and the writing and acting did not disappoint. It’s like Sherlock Holmes, Clue, Scooby-Doo, a film noir, Fargo, and The Umbrella Academy all had a baby together. I was laughing through the whole show. One of the best KC Fringe shows I’ve seen!

This show gives full production on a Fringe budget. An over the top farce that has you praying the cast has medical insurance (or a great high jump) as they play at break neck speed which leaves even the audience sweating a little. They savor every second of their 45 min run time. This is the cherry topping of any Fringe goings this year.

I love a good Farce! This show is a hilarious high energy murder mystery FULL of camp and tropes. I enjoyed the bold character choices in physicality and voice which created a delightfully wacky show. The technical elements far exceeds expectations for a Fringe show. They utilized the scenery well, in true farce fashion, opening and shutting windows and doors, complete with tearable drapes!

Looking for a high quality high energy comedy? Go see On The Veranda!

Belly laughing from start to finish! This show was so well done and portrayed beautifully by all actors!! I loved ‘Chaos Ensues’ at last years fringe so I was extremely excited to see the show this year, and wow!! It’s 5 stars and won’t let you down!!

Absolutely loved this show! The whole cast worked great together and produced an extremely funny murder mystery.
Definitely a must see, I could not stop laughing! Great job to everyone who had a hand in this.

Another spectacular farcical comedy from the same minds that gave us ‘Chaos Ensues’ last year, this year’s ‘On the Veranda’ is somehow even more beautifully choreographed chaos. A fast-paced and lighthearted “whodunnit”-style mystery with a loveably strange cast of characters and a beautiful set, this show will keep you guessing and laughing for the entire hour. Nothing I say will prepare you for this roller coaster ride of murder mystery, so just strap in, hang on tight, and enjoy the ride!

Truly a feature-length show packed into one hour! Non stop laughs and action. Every actor absolutely owned their character and created an unbelievably fun performance. The playwrights created something truly unique and fresh with this show. I really hope to see more… On The Veranda!
