The Hope of Growth is a group of acrylic paintings on canvas by Kansas City based artist, Kora Wilkes. The collection depicts nude female figures with flowers and vines blooming from their bodies. Kora started creating this body of work doing the quarantine of 2020. Through losses of the Pandemic, as well as her own personal loss, she has explored transformative re-growth as a concept through depictions of plants. Blooms of leaves, vines, and flowers growing from the person she thought she was.
