  1. Saw him at two of this year’s Fringe Teasers and many times over the years (at Fringe and other places). Multi-award winning, decades-long pro, annual Fringe fan favorite (don’t think he’s missed a year over these last 2 decades), you’ll be sad you missed John ‘Br. John’ Anderson when you hear from those that didn’t.

Brother John channels not just one legend of song, as he has done so beautifully in past years, but a whole delicious array of all-time modern music legends! Added to his spot on voice impressions is the heartfelt passion that really transports his audience. He’s always a joy and should not be missed!

Brother John and Rick Cole on guitar is surely a vibe to feel! These two are bread and butter. The hits are classic, the jams are jamin

I’m a fan! I’ve seen Brother John’s Marvin Gaye show and his Bill Withers show, but this is the first performance in which I’ve seen him engage so directly with the audience. He drew us in from the start. “People! Love!” He sustained the connection with a thoughtful story to accompany each song. At the end, the audience spontaneously rose to give him a standing ovation.

Bro John ALWAYS delivers…he brought stories and music together to involve and mesmerize the audience. Bro John and Rick Cole (on guitar) brought the songs to life and filled the room with Love! We have followed John and Rick for years and would not have missed this KC Fringe performance for anything.

One of his best. I always love Brother John but this one’s voices were particularly spot on. The way that he shared all of this while sharing personal stories was especially touching.

  17. The ultimate performer! Once again, Brother John brings a captivating program drawing on performers that have influenced him. His ability of mimic these different “legends” is remarkable. I was particularly amazed at his recounting of MLK’s speech. Spot on!

Thankyou Brother John for another gem of Fringe.
