Ben Auxier and Ryan McCall (part of the team behind KC-favorite musical comedies Milking Christmas and The Ballad of Lefty & Crabbe) have created a new evening of swingin' tunes, funny jokes, and inescapable fears.
This innovative and surprisingly heartfelt night of cabaret comedy premiered in a brief initial run in April to sold out crowds and audience acclaim. Be sure to catch it before it's gone again!

This show is an absolute delight. It’s a vintage style throw back musical revue that captures the existential absurdity of this moment and gets you to belly laugh through your tears at the madness of it all.
I’m not sure what all to say here besides this show is absolutely incredible. The entire cast and band are incredible. It’s been a minute since I laughed this hard and consistently at a show, but here we are.
Honestly, i shouldn’t need to sell you on a Ben Auxier show. But if you’ve never heard of Ben or seen one of the shows he’s been involved in, then you owe it to yourself to see this one. Incredibly cathartic.
This show getting a second run so soon after it’s debut may be Fringe’s greatest gift to KC ! ( and Fringe is FULL of gifts to our community!)

Just go !!! I can’t adequately convey all of the wonderful packed into one production – the talent of the cast Ben,Nellie,Brianna,and Francisco- the genius in the music writing by Ryan and Ben – and the magic that is Ben somehow better at finding words to express the mayhem of his brain and the last few years than anything has made sense during that time.
I see a lot of shows – and I’ve seen a lot of Ben’s always excellent work – but this one is REAAAAL special
Don’t miss it – and go early cause you’re gonna leave wanting everyone you know to see it
This show delivers the funny from beginning to end. Ben is full of talented gifts and they shine through with support from an awesome ensemble. SEE THIS SHOW!!!!
This was was absolutely incredible. We haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. It’s smart, irreverent, musical, and damned funny.
If you want to laugh until your face hurts and leave with a something that stays with you then go see this talented group. Thank you KC Fringe for bringing this back as we didn’t get a chance to see it the first run. Thank you Ben and Company for giving us a chance to laugh at a world that is scary.
I went to see this show in its debut in April and loved it so much I had to come back for this Fringe run.
I don’t know the last time I’ve wanted to go see a theater performance twice, but for this production it was a no brainer!
A perfect mix of silly, sentimental, and serious – this piece of theater somehow manages to be irreverent, side-splitting, and thought-provoking in the span of a single hour without feeling overwhelming or rushed.
My husband and I have been singing bits from it ever since we left the black box.
This one is something special, folks. Don’t miss it!!

Smart writing and great music as always! Ben is adorable, endearing, and relatable – and the ensemble of musicians were a perfect complement. Surely one of the most entertaining Fringe shows of the year!
The music is excellent and the jokes manage to feel both polished and raw at the same time. Ben is a great emcee, and the band and cast are top notch, shining through in a big concept show that delivers. Don’t let Fringe slip by without seeing this show!
Always excellent, Ben Auxier is joined by truly gifted performers to pull off hilariously poignant, timely, inspiring music and reflections that face the overwhelming-ness of our world and point us toward hope. Ben has a unique gift as a writer and performer of saying what the world needs to hear and getting away with it.
Can’t recommend this show enough. This group has pulled off a very difficult task. The show does many things expertly all at once; funny, charming, irreverent, thought provoking, and moving. All in 45 minutes. Ben is fantastic. The cast, band, and crew are a dream. My God the talent! You will be thinking abut it for days. Get there if you can!
