HELP! I’m trapped in a MUSICAL!

What happens when you get trapped... In a cave? On an island? In a painfully awkward convo? Or better yet— in a musical?
This brand-new immersive musical improv format drops players into “trapped” scenarios where they’re finally forced to confront whatever is really going on between them.
Expect audience sing-alongs, big emotions, and plenty of musical chaos!
Featuring a cast of women + nonbinary performers creating space for every voice.

Cast and Creww

Director: MacKenzie Reed

MacKenzie Reed is a Kansas City-based musician, improviser, comedy writer, and producer. Her original musical comedy acts are frequently seen at shows at the Bird Comedy Theater, including Birdstock (“Succulent’s Lament”), Hell-arious (“Tanya, Savior of Hell”), Golden Bird Awards (“Contraption of Love”), and many others. A sought-after coach and teacher, she coaches Tweety Todd, the musical improv house team at the Bird Comedy Theater, and teaches singing and musical improv workshops all over the KC metro and beyond. As a producer, MacKenzie takes enormous joy in creating music-forward shows as well as those that highlight women and make a positive difference in the community. Whether she is behind the keyboard or on the stage, MacKenzie brings passion, energy, and joy to every moment.
