“Bharathanatyam” presented by the Gurukulam Center for Indian Arts is a lovely dance recital performed by three students of the center in Omaha. Each presentation is proceeded by a brief description of the style and message of the dance. This traditional dance style expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas through intricate footwork, hand positions, and facial expressions. These three young artists proudly wear their Fringe buttons over their beautiful costumes as they share their culture with the audience. There is only one more chance to support these passionate students and share in their joy of dance so don’t miss it.
