“This is Not a Love Story” by Prisca Jebet Kendagor is a quick 40 minute peek into a not so clandestine annual meet up between Tamera and Michael, an on-again-off-again couple having an extramarital affair. The couple is played by real life spouses, Amy and Forrest Attaway, who arrange to meet at the same bar once a year. The bartender Sammie (played by Connor Eastman) is in on the whole thing and seems to know all the intimate details of their 30 year relationship, probably because they discuss everything so openly in from of them. Though this story might be better served as a tête-à -tête, Eastman’s reactions to the fighting and flirting bring welcome comedic relief in this slice-of-life one act.
