David and Lacey have gotten together and had sex for the first time in 18 months. It ended badly for the two former, 50-something lovers when they took a trip to Mexico and came close to drowning after their diving excursion boat accidentally left them behind. David has reached out to make amends. But is he really sorry? Or just lonely? It just so happens that Lacey broke up with a new boyfriend earlier that evening and needs someone to be with her. She invites David over. Hot sex ensues. The pillow talk at first is playful and salacious. But David soon realizes that Lacey is still the self-centered woman she was when they were dating. And Lacey senses that David has not recovered emotionally from the near-tragedy in Mexico and wants to go back home. But Lacey knows what will keep David there_ some erotic role playing with him as James Bond and her as a sexy divemate on his mission. Will it keep them together? Or has their fling finally run out of air? A bedroom drama from the writer and producer of last year's KC Fringe dystoptian hit drama, "The Enemies From Within," as well as previous KC Fringe hits, "The Plume," "Slurry", and "John and Leslie are in the Copy Room Again", "Dive Buddies" is a deep examination of sex, middle-aged loneliness, fetishes and empathy _ or lack thereof.
