Artist bio: Art can’t really be described, yet it is something that is created from a passion and love within the soul. Amanda got her start as an artist when she was just 5 years old (she had one inspiring art teacher) and has been exploring ever since. She is the sole owner/artist of Mandolin Artworks, which was established in 2007. She chooses to use her skills to show beauty and nerdy nostalgia to the world through her art. She enjoys the exploration of all sorts of art, but really loves getting to work on items she is passionate about and can share with those who will love them most. She mostly work in acrylic, colored pencil and watercolors.

In her free time, she enjoys the company of her pup Shasta, exploring Kansas City, being a theatre groupie, shopping estate/garage sales and working on her house. She also runs a successful international PR and Marketing business, Anam Cara Communications.
