Englewood Arts Partnership Prize

This show, an original musical based on the greco-roman myth of Narcissus and Echo, was first staged at KC Fringe 2025, but that was just one step in the long journey of creating an original musical. After launching the show at KC Fringe it’s time for a round of edits. We are rewriting scenes, rethinking structure, writing new songs, all taking feedback from the 2025 performance. Now to try out some of the edits on stage, we have the opportunity to partner with Englewood Arts Center through the “Englewood Arts Development Project” award from KC Fringe.

For this workshop we are taking a portion of the show and exploring it with a small team of people. The band is pared down to just a piano and drumset, and we only have three actors instead of the full eight person cast. This section of the show includes three songs, including one that has never been heard before!

And we want your feedback. This is not a finished project, we’re inviting you “inside the creative engine room” to shape the show as it moves forward. We will have a talkback after the main performance, and an optional survey link if you have any thoughts you’d like to put down in writing.
