Soup!

July 26, 2026

I love the enthusiasm of Soup! The host is charming and the cast is huge with a couple of stand out improvisers. I enjoyed the variety of games and musical elements!

Inconsistent fun

July 24, 2026

This group was obviously having a lot of fun together, and that made the experience more enjoyable. However, the group is too large to have everyone perform each game. It gets redundant when 5 groups do the same game format. There are some actors in the group who don’t seem experienced enough with forming strong character relationships with their partner instead of going for cheap laughs like playing animals or toilet humor. Energetic group, but too large and a few inexperienced at comedy.

Low Energy Improv

July 22, 2026

As a professional improviser and student of comedy, I found this team large and low energy. The cast and host walked slowly on stage in silence instead of having any transition music or jokes in between games to keep the show interesting and high energy. During short form games there was a lot of silence in the audience as the scenes were not very grounded and seemed to ramble on. We kept waiting for punchlines, jokes and characters/relationships that we were invested in following.

I was disappointed with the musical game of “sounds like a song” where we the audience were supposed to say that phrase during the actors dialogue so they’d start singing. During the second game of this, the audience stopped saying the phrase totally, so the host did it instead, showing that we the audience were already tired and didn’t have a lot to stay interested in (topic wise or relationship wise). They played a lot of games multiple times with different players and it was a bit redundant to watch.

Loved it!

Very funny! I love how they roll with it. Each show is different since they use suggestions from the audience so I’d go again

That is That.

July 19, 2026

A vibrant, wild, and imaginative group. Perhaps their finest moment of the night was the conceptualization of “That is That.” It was a moment simultaneously ridiculous and profound, which what else is there to aspire to in improv? Where do you go from here? Soup! found a way and will likely continue to do so. Great work.
