I love showcases of shorts because you get a variety of different stories and different genres. Story Shots is four short plays that all take place on a park bench and you will get to experience both drama and comedy. The actors all did a great job portraying their different characters and it was a lot of fun to watch!

Four two-person scenes examining different types of relationships and personalities, with varying levels of drama and comedy. All four performers were great. Will definitely have to check this out during the year.

Story Shots is a long-running series of shorts produced as a showcase for local actors, directors, and playwrights to strut their stuff. Their Fringe offering, revolving around the shared idea of “bench,” is admittedly no frills, but the true showcase is for the writing and acting in the four shorts presented.

Every ensemble member gets a chance to be funny, tragic, and extremely natural, giving stripped down performances that will make you pay attention. Forrest Attaway, Nicole Hall, Matt McCann, and Stefanie Stevens are a great group, deftly handling the tonal shifts in each piece.

A very honest, charming, and simple premise, buoyed by an excellent cast. Go find this underground gem!
