Come see a brand new play by Kansas City playwright, Prisca Jebet Kendagor
Thirty years of history crackle between Tamera, a brilliant writer, and Michael, the charming former athlete she can never quite escape. What begins as an accidental reunion in a hotel bar quickly spirals into a night charged with wit, desire, old wounds, and the kind of chemistry that could burn the whole place down.
Clever writing. Fantastic chemistry between Michael and Tamera. Sammie provided great comic relief. Loved it!
An impeccably acted slice of life featuring a type of true-to-life story I don’t feel like I’ve seen dramatized very much, let alone with this much care. It’s sort of two shows at once – a complicated discussion about a complex long-standing heterosexual affair, and also a very relatable queer service worker’s dream – interpersonal customer drama unfolding for free right before our eyes. Check it out!
Excellent production! The dialogue was engaging, and the performances were energetic and believable. The chemistry between the couple felt natural, while the bartender added great depth and humor to the interactions. The dynamic among the three characters was compelling and kept the audience invested throughout. Overall, it was a well-acted and thoroughly enjoyable performance.
Well written 3-person drama of a misguided but enduring love affair. Beautifully acted.
This piece was very well done. Every move was intentional and the actors nailed every bit of the push and pull drama and chemistry!
