    HOLY SLASHERS BATMAN!!
This show is definitely a must see at Fringe; from the beginning to the very end I was cackling (sorry for making y’all break on stage). The singing and acting and story are very captivating; I especially loved the various horror tropes. This is a phenomenal script and each person (actor, tech, and direction) do it justice. 1000/10 y’all gotta see this one before it closes!

Few things can make me laugh more than a work of theatre that was meant to be a film. And also a work of theatre that was meant to be a film that pokes fun at the conventions of both theatre and film. Seriously had so much fun watching this. A piece that can nail satire and also pluck on my heart strings with stellar vocal performances is a special thing. What are you waiting for? Go see this show!!!

  18. Luna Seranova

This show was EXACTLY what it needed to be. The camp was CAMPING, the spooky was SPOOKING and the music was perfect. I loved this show so much! Highly recommend!

If you like campy/satirical/meta/80s/horror/slasher/cheesy/musical/self-aware theatre, have I got the show recommendation for you! A romp through iconic retro scary movie tropes and set to some killer vocals (see what I did there?), this performance has something for everyone!

  20. Dustin Reckling

Hilarious send up of slashers with some well-written songs to boot. Wonderful sound design with a simple yet effective set. The intriguing setup of the play being performed as a screenplay is an inventive take on this kind of presentation. Physical comedy is abound, with one moment at the end making everyone bust up.

  21. Fringe Goer

Oof. Great idea. Poor execution. The writing was bad. I thought it might be ironically bad like the horror films it was sending up. But I ended up not thinking that was the case.

The musical aspect really killed the show. The songs were terrible, middle school level lyrics, off-key singing, way too long, barely connected to the happenings of the story, and the music was louder than the singers.

If the songs were excised completely and the script given a polish, it could be a decent show.

  22. Dennis P.

Excellently done. Saw it on Thursday, no audio issues at all. Could hear clearly even in the top row. Everyone plays their parts perfectly, and work together effortlessly. Even the singing is spot on.

  23. Shebkc

Great show, very talented cast. The writer/composer took the horror genre and reinvented it to something special. A must see show!
