Show Description

Process: Inevitable
A Musical Journey (Part 1)

When grief calls, will you answer?

Join Iam, a vibrant and passionate young artist, as he is unexpectedly transported into the surreal landscape of the 5th Dimension after the heartbreaking loss of his sibling. Here, Iam must face the personified Deities of the Five Stages of Grief—each powerful, compelling, and determined to guide him through an emotional reckoning.

As he journeys deeper into this mysterious world, led by a figure named Ego and a device called an “id,” Iam learns that if acceptance isn’t surrender—What is it?

Blending music, dance, striking visuals, and profound storytelling, Part 1 of this 2 Part Musical, “Process Inevitable” explores the universal experience of grief through a uniquely multidimensional lens. Each step of the journey will bring you deeper into a mesmerizing, immersive realm where hope, empathy, and healing become not only possible but essential.

What is the inevitable process? What does acceptance mean? You’ll have to come and find out.

  1. Jessica Whitfield

A very unique production that includes dance, original songs, and a story of a hero’s journey in another dimension. Great job by the talented cast!

  2. Deb Branson

The allegory of “Process: Inevitable A Musical Journey” challenged me to engage with its abstraction and its topic — grief. I must admit that as one who is grieving the loss of a sibling, I resisted. The music and lyrical movement detoured around my resistance, however. Those art forms can short circuit our defenses like nothing else. Before it was over, tears ran down my face. The Greeks knew catharsis. So does Lovelace and his cast.

  3. Marshall D Lovelace (verified owner)

This musical explores grief through dimensional travel and taps into deep emotional truths, with stunning original music and imaginative staging. The talented ensemble brings profound emotional resonance. Emotionally rich, and it’s a bold, unforgettable journey—don’t miss it.

  4. Manda Blanchard

It was absoultely stunning, And I can honestly say it has been the best fringe show for me so far. It was a simple story with complex emotions and unexpected humor. I was drawn in from the first joke, and I ended up crying with the main character. It was riveting. Im going again. I just have to see it one more time.

  5. Robert Vardiman

Extremely moving production!! The artist put in so much work and it paid off. The movement and storyline were my favorite. The chemistry and commitment were truly impeccable and I can’t wait for part 2!!!!

  6. David Luby

Fantabulous!!! Bravo!!! This is exactly the reason Fringe exists. Fantastic use of technology. The dance and
Choreography were superb. Brilliant scenes. Great story. I can’t wait to see what they do next year. I hope he try’s to take this to other festivals. One of the best shows I’ve seen.
