Show Description

Terrace Wyatt, Jr.’s: Mel’n E [Melanin & Educated].    Power is a logical, unorthodox senior who attends a predominantly white university. They have to present a senior capstone in order to graduate on time in the idea explaining the word “Melanin” – will this suffice for an A+? Who knows? The play explains how the word “melanin” can be impactful not only in the black community but as a whole, demographically. This is a comedic, educational, looney tune rollercoaster that talks about racial identity and its connections in a general perspective.

Past Fringe Shows

My first KC Fr!nge show was last summer of 2024. My play was Black Man, Missouri that played at City Stage in Union Station and received “Best of Fr!nge” after Circus Scorpius was honored first but gave it to Terrace Studios, LLC. Support their work, please! When I got the email that I got accepted to KC Fr!nge I was filled with joy and I was nervous because this was my opportunity to challenge artistry on another level.

I had a play in mind but couldn’t finish it in time so took the liberty in creating a KC Fr!nge version of Black Man, Missouri. The play is originally written as a full-length.
