Such a fun and unique approach to improv! Started out with the a great standup comic, whose set inspired the improv show that follow! Highly recommend.

  2. Jackson Miranda

Loved seeing the amazing cast spin together hilarious premises from a stand-up set provided by an awesome local comedian! There’s a different comedian every night so definitely a reason to watch again and again

  3. James P Waldo

Live theater at its best! There’s nothing like a great stand up comic teeing up an amazing improv troop for success! This team knows how to take that content and run with it! It’s the truest form of creative entertainment to stand in front of a live audience with no script and create a show that keeps everyone in stitches. I’ve seen it twice now and both shows were great. Each show different because they have a different comedian each time providing different content for their show. I plan to see the next three shows and can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

  4. Garrett S

One of my favorite improv shows I’ve ever seen. Tiffany Michelle Foster absolutely killed her opening set, covering topics as diverse as “Being racially ambiguous in the entertainment industry” and “What was the name of that woman who cleaned Jesus’s feet?”. Seriously looking forward to seeing her do standup in the future.

As for the players of Improv Springboard, oh my goodness. As an improviser I think the highest compliment I can receive is “Surely that was rehearsed!” So let me say, sincerely, SURELY THAT WAS REHEARSED! The relationships between characters, the setups for jokes that ultimately paid off, and the use of the material from Tiffany’s set were all executed to perfection. My favorite part of all may have been seeing the performers on the sidelines laughing and clapping when someone onstage absolutely nailed a joke (which happened too many times to count). I could tell that this group loves performing together and supports one another, and I think that’s at the heart of truly great improv. As I write this there are still three shows left. All of them will be different so please go out and support these fabulous comedians!

This show had stellar performances from both the stand-up comic and the improvisers! The stand-up comic for my viewing, Tiffany Michelle Foster, opened the show with a hilarious set that left me chuckling the entire time. Even with the bar set high, the improvisers continued the energy wonderfully and kept my chuckle going through to the end. Each of the improvisers were performing at the top of their game and put on a performance worthy of being a textbook definition for “great improv”. This is a seriously great show, definitely take the time to watch it!

  6. Tess

uch a fun time watching this crew in action! The way they meshed and played off each other made for some truly hilarious moments. Even when things got weird (as they should in good improv!), they rolled with it and kept the “yes, and…” energy going strong.

  7. Seth Gordon

Such a good show. MK did the stand up set at the one I saw and crushed it. The cast had such good chemistry as well! Amazing when they made it up!

  8. JT

Absolutely amazing collection of talented local improvisers. And MK was the standup comic and she absolutely killed it. The sitcom tropes were spot on. The characters were great. The story was fun. I also love that this is an entirely female cast, using female standups. They were all ridiculously funny. I cannot recommend this show enough.

Fantastic! Such a fun premise perfectly delivered by an incredibly talented cast. Go see this!

  10. Nan

This show was amazing! MK was killer and the improv set after MK was also killer. SO FUNNY.
I was so into the story and characters that I was surprised when it ended CAUSE I WANTED MORE. the binocular crew. it killed me. Chris and Jen. IMPROV SPRINGBOARD IS THE BEST!!!

  11. Bobby

I saw a lot of improv this Fringe, and it’s all been great, but this is my favorite show of the bunch. The stand-up being an inspiration to an improvised sitcom is a genius blending of the two comedy styles, the stand-up, MK at the show I went to, was fantastic. A great story teller, completely comfy in her skin and her flaws. Just loved it.

And then the improv was fantastic. All the women were connected to each other, connected to the stories being discovered, and connected to the letting the stand-up set peak through in its inspiration. Just group mind in action. 10/10. Could not recommend more.

  12. Dawn Payn (verified owner)

What an excellent show! The improv set being inspired by a stand up comedian is so much fun!

  13. Jennifer Baird

The comedian for this show was Kailee Karr, who crushed their set! Then to see the set turned into the most funny heart felt improv was so much fun! It was such a delight to see improv scenes breath and have such beautiful moments. Improv spring board crushed it again this year!

  14. Russell Galloway

The mix of stand up and improv was truly a delight. Watching the improvisers weave the stand up’s routine into a situation comedy was truly fun. The skills of both coming together in beautiful synchronicity. A perfect show!
